Call reporting and blocking
How to report unwanted calls and use SmishAlert with iOS call/SMS reporting.
SmishAlert integrates with iOS Call Blocking & Identification and SMS/Call Reporting. When you report a call or message from the Phone or Messages system UI, iOS can send that report to SmishAlert. We analyze it and, for business accounts, can feed alerts into your security team.
Enable call and SMS reporting
- Open Settings → Phone.
- Tap SMS/Call Reporting (or Call Blocking & Identification, depending on iOS version).
- Turn on the option for reporting and select SmishAlert.
Reporting a call
After a call, iOS may show a "Report" or "Report Junk" option in the recent calls list or in the call screen. Tap it and choose to report to SmishAlert. The number and metadata are sent to our reporting endpoint; we do not record the actual call audio.
What we do with reports
Reports are processed by our backend for threat analysis and, when applicable, shared with your organization's security team. We do not sell this data. For privacy details, see our Privacy & Security section and the main Privacy Policy at smishalert.ai/privacy.
