Message reporting (Report Junk in Messages)
Use Report Junk in the Messages app to report SMS and conversations to SmishAlert.
In the Messages app, you can report unknown or junk conversations. When SmishAlert is set as your SMS/Call Reporting provider, those reports are sent to us for analysis.
How to report a message as junk
- Open Messages and find the conversation you want to report.
- Tap the conversation (or the contact/image at the top).
- Scroll down and tap Report Junk (or Delete and Report Junk, depending on context).
- Confirm. iOS sends the report to SmishAlert; we analyze it and, for business plans, can surface it in your team's dashboard.
Make sure SmishAlert is selected under Settings → Phone → SMS/Call Reporting so that Report Junk is sent to us. If you don't see Report Junk, the conversation may not qualify (e.g. it might be from a known contact).
